| The Disability Information
& Resource Centre is a new project which
opened on 3rd April 2006 that aims to give information
and support to a wide range of disabled people, carers,
families, friends and any individual, professional or
organisation wishing to gain further knowledge regarding
disability issues from a very visible, readily and easily
accessible service. |

The Centre is a two year project, which was originally funded by the Big Lottery
Fund that has funded part of the refurbishment of the new
premises and three staff – Resource Centre Manager,
Information Officer and Volunteer Co-ordinator.
We are located in Erdington opposite blockbusters on the
main bus route between Birmingham City Centre and Sutton Coldfield
(Map). You will find our address and
directions in the contact us page.
We are open Monday – Friday from 10am. Please feel free
to drop in anytime with your enquiry, staff will be on hand
to assist you.
We provide the following services:
Information Services
We can provide you with information and support on a wide
variety of issues including:
- Welfare Benefits
- Employment
- Education
- Leisure Activities
- Mobility/Blue Badge
- Independent Living Fund (ILF)
- Training
- Radar Keys

Volunteering Services
Our centre is run using volunteers who, along with staff,
provide information and support to visitors of the Information
& Resource Centre.
