Marketing and Communications Manager – 15 Month FTC
Are you a marketing and communications professional looking for a new challenge? Do you believe that learning disabled, and autistic adults should be able to live happy and healthy lives? We are looking for a Marketing and Communications Manager to work 30 hours per week to help us raise our profile.
We’re looking for a Marketing and Communications Manager on a 15-month fixed term contract to cover a period of maternity leave. This includes an initial period of 3-months working alongside the existing Marketing and Communications Manager prior to her maternity leave starting.
Lisieux Trust exists to support learning disabled and autistic adults to be happy and healthy. Established in 1984 we have grown substantially; now supporting 51 local learning disabled and autistic adults in residential care and supported living services. Our organisational culture is all about quality; we provide truly personalised support for adults with learning disabilities and autism.
In our 2019 strategic review, we identified that in order to achieve our strategic goals we need to professionalise our marketing and communications activity and increase our profile in the West Midlands. Since then, we have developed a new brand, increased our social media presence, created a new website and raised our profile within the Birmingham area.
This role will enable us to continue on this journey, maintaining consistent, high-quality communications and marketing activity and growing the profile of the organisation with potential beneficiaries, their families, funders and potential employees.
This is the only Marketing and Communications focused role within the organisation. We are looking for a professional who is up for a challenge, who likes to work independently whilst building effective, friendly and fun relationships with operational employees, and who has the confidence to make decisions and get things done.
You will need to be a doer as well as a thinker; you will need to be comfortable contributing to strategic plans and holding discussions with the senior management team, as well as being happy to write social media posts and create content for print.
Experience in the care or disability sector is not essential; it is more important to us that you have a track record of delivering successful marketing and communications activity.
